A recent Q&A I did for @goodlifehc about why I got into the health & fitness industry way back when. 😇⚡️

How long have you been a PT?
I just had my 13th-anniversary last week – 13 years strong!⁣

How long have you been a Goodlife PT?
I’m fortunate enough to have spent my entire career with Goodlife! I like to consider myself an OG here 😇⁣⁣

What inspired you to get into the industry?
I wouldn’t say one specific thing inspired me, however I was definitely raised to take care of the people in my life and to help others – so in year 12 when I found out that personal training was a career path it was a no brainer for me! Knowing that I can assist people with their health and fitness and reaching their full potential is my passion and one of the reasons I love what I do.⁣

How many clients would you have trained throughout your career?
Wow – in 13 years it would be a lot! If I were to take a rough guess I would say around 500 maybe? I used run group sessions so I saw far more faces in my early years, however I focus more on 1:1 nowadays and still have a few clients who I have worked with for over 10 years and others who I still keep in contact with from when I first started back in 07!⁣⁣

What do you love most about your job?
I love that the morals and values I have grown up with align with what I do for others everyday. The reward of seeing another human achieve what they desire and have always sought for is absolutely my ‘why’. Knowing that I played a small part in helping them believe they could do it and was able to make a life changing impact is everything to me.

What’s the one thing you want every client to take away from a session with you?
I want them to remember the experience they just had, I want them to know they worked efficiently and well and that they are headed in the right direction – forward! It’s about progress not perfection.
